Openbravo, the agile ERP company, announced the winners of its “Partner of the Year 2011” awards recognized for technical excellence in their geographic region throughout the year and for helping customers achieve low cost, real business results with Openbravo’s ERP Platform. The awards recognize implementation partners from Openbravo’s world-wide network of more than 100 partners in 40 countries.

‘2011 was Openbravo’s most successful year in company history, and this success is a direct reflection of the dedication and commitment to customer success from our global partner network”, said Andreu Bartolí, VP Channels at Openbravo. “With so many satisfied customers and excellent partners, selecting the ‘Partner of the Year’ was more challenging than ever. We congratulate all the award winners for their contributions and the shared success of our companies and look forward to an exciting 2012.”

Sysfore, a specialist Openbravo partner, offers both enterprise and SaaS variants of Openbravo ERP, bringing to market a serious, viable and cost effective alternative to mainstream commercial ERPs. In 2011, Sysfore continued to improve its Openbravo offerings and service infrastructure to serve its customers across different industries and regions. In 2012, Sysfore launched its first solution on Openbravo - for Human Resource and Payroll Management on the Openbravo Exchange. For manufacturing industry clusters in South India, Sysfore now offers customizable SaaS variant of Openbravo ERP, raising the benchmark for the industry. Sysfore also embarked on a journey towards Retail industry vertical specialization with the launch of its Integrated Retail Solutions that include core components to manage Store, Merchandise and Ecommerce operations, easily extendable to components to automate Financial Management & Accounting and Human Resources & Payroll.

Finally, Sysfore launched its Middle East office in Abu Dhabi in late 2011 offering open source Openbravo ERP Implementation services for Retail, Distribution and Discrete Manufacturing for Small and Medium Businesses.

Bobby Varghese, VP Marketing of Sysfore says, “It is a proud achievement and recognition for our efforts in highlighting Openbravo ERP as a serious alternative for enterprise software in our regional markets of India and the Middle East. Openbravo has ambition and is going all out with its partner friendly approach and support ecosystem to help us deliver value in the highly competitive ERP space. Openbravo 3, the last major release made in early 2011, has been very well received and stands out for its rich functional footprint and appealing user interface with Arabic language capability. All in all, Openbravo 3 offers compelling advantages in terms of cost-benefit value. At Sysfore, we see a rich world of opportunities especially in the Middle East market for a value offering in the ERP space.”

Openbravo Selected as InfoWorld 2011 Best of Open Source Application Award ‘Bossie’ Fourth Time in Five Years
Recognition reinforces Sysfore’s Openbravo Service Offerings in India & the Middle East

Bangalore, India – October 10th, 2011 – Sysfore’s partner, Openbravo, the agile ERP company, has been named by InfoWorld as one of the ‘Best of Open Source Applications’, popularly known as the ‘Bossie’ award. InfoWorld’s Bossies honor the best open source software for business. The InfoWorld Test Center works to identify the most promising and cost-effective products available to IT organizations.

InfoWorld described Openbravo by stating: “Openbravo rides Version 3 to a repeat Bossie Award. With the new version, the company has done a nice job of cleaning up the user interface and workspaces. Data sources and app hooks are more seamlessly connected, vastly improving ramp-up time. A more modular framework for plugging in sales, finance, warehouse, and purchasing functionality paves the way for faster adoption of these functions as future requirements demand. You’ll find good tools for plugging in users, too, thanks to role-based access controls and custom dashboards. And finally, a variety of deployment paths (including the Amazon cloud) make it that much easier to get started. With the recent opening of offices stateside (San Francisco), Openbravo has helped allay concerns regarding support and sustainability going forward”.

Openbravo 3, launched in February 2011, introduced the concept of ‘Agile ERP’ to a software category known historically for bloat and cost overruns. Openbravo’s Agile ERP approach is a significant departure from mainstream ERP, which forces businesses to over-pay for massive, yet inflexible systems. Unlike today’s conventional ERP, organizations can deploy Openbravo in as little as two weeks, and then add modular functionality as the needs of their business evolve.

Sysfore is a specialist Openbravo partner in India, and offers different flavors of Openbravo implementations including, traditional ERP implementations within the company firewall, and for the first time in India & the Middle East - Openbravo ERP Software as a Service or ‘SaaS’.

“In the Open source ERP space, Openbravo focuses on constantly enhancing solutions, and feature sets. We especially appreciate the efforts put in by the product & technology teams in making Openbravo's user interface one of the best among ERP products. It is no surprise that Openbravo has won this award again this year, and for the 4th time”, says Ajith George, Director of Projects at Sysfore.

Sysfore’s Bobby Varghese, VP - Marketing & Customer Engagement said, “Sysfore takes pride in being an Openbravo partner offering services in India and Middle East and bringing to market a serious, viable and cost effective alternative to mainstream commercial ERP solutions. We look forward to a long term successful relationship with Openbravo in providing ERP consulting and implementation services to small and medium businesses”.
